Susan Holland, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 21, 2016. She dedicated her life to her family and caring for others through nursing.

Susan was a devoted registered nurse and nursing instructor. She earned her BSN and MSN from University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and post-graduate certification in geriatric nursing from UT Medical branch of Galveston. During her thirty-five year career, she taught in Shreveport, LA. Since 2011, she taught nursing students at Lone Star College and Sam Houston State University. She was born on December 30, 1952 at Quonset Point, Rhode Island to George and Pauline Spooner, the third of six children.

Susan was preceded in death by her son, Darryl. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce, her children Christina Hines, Jenna and Scott Olsen, and Laura and Jacob Mitchell, and her grandchildren Anya, Ethan, Aaron, and Elijah, and a large, loving extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11am at The Woodlands Community Church (5401 Rush Haven Dr., The Woodlands, Texas) with burial following in Garden Park Cemetery.
