Susan Lee LucasSusan Lee Lucas, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 70. She was born on June 3, 1946, in Hammond, IN. She attended Hammond High School (IN), completed two degrees in education, including a Master's degree from Purdue University. In 1966 she married Marcus Lucas and together they had 4 children: Mark (Sarah), Eric (Natalie), Lisa (Elmer), and Aaron (Carmen). Sue worked as an educator at Jefferson High School, Charter Hospital, Fowler Elementary School, and later, at Lafayette Adult Resource Academy. A strong and inspiring mother and grandmother, her greatest loves were Jesus, her children, and her grandchildren Andrew, Adam, Colby, Sam, Aleah, Daniel, and Olivia. She enjoyed laughter, witty repartee, and reminiscing with her family. She was a pillar of strength, perseverance, and devotion. She will be greatly missed. Sue is survived by her children and her grandchildren. A for-family-only service was held in Lafayette.
