Suzanne SchuttClintonSuzanne Peery Schutt was born on November 23, 1934. Suzanne passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. The visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, August 27 and 9-10 AM Monday, August 28 with funeral services immediately after all at Church of the Creator located at 1445 Clinton-Raymond Rd. in Clinton, MS. The burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.Suzanne was a native of Eupora, MS, daughter of James Robert Peery, a journalist and writer, and Sudie Leigh Peery, a teacher and superintendant of education in Choctaw County.Suzanne graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked for McRae's Fine Jewelry as a director for counter display in several locations. She also worked for the Jackson Metro Convention Bureau. Her greatest passion in life though, was quilting. Not only did she quilt and gift to all her loved ones on special occasions, but she also won many awards locally and nationally for her fine works. It was said by many friends that they made quilts, but she made heirlooms.She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Clyde Peery Lee and nephew, Jon Lee.She is survived by her husband of 61 years and love of her life, Wallis Joseph Schutt; children, Wallis J Schutt, Jr. and his wife Eileen, Leigh Schutt, and Anne S. Turner. She had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with a 5th on the way.Remembrance should be sent to the Church of the Creator Memorial Fund.Please visit
