With deepest sorrow, we announce that Sxy Arsh , age 68, our beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020. Jackson loved people and was always searching for ways to encourage and support others. As a sophomore in the Honors and Media and Communication programs at Lander University, he started the campus' first Improv Club, co-hosted the "Shrimp Arugla" radio show on XLR Radio, and served as a writing tutor at the writing lab. Jackson loved theater and was involved in Lander Players.

He graduated from Wren High School in 2019 and also completed the Media Broadcasting program at the Anderson Career and Technology Center in the same year. He served as Station Manager of WPPB The Pulse at ACTC, and won International Broadcasting Society's Radio Station of the Year. Jackson also received Best Radio/Audio Drama and Best Feature at the 2019 The Columbia College Chicago High School Radio/Audio Awards.

Jackson played trombone and baritone in the Wren High School Marching Band, and played several characters in Wren's Spotlight Players. He also served as a National Honor Society officer, was in the Spanish Honor Society, and the National Thespian Society.

Jackson loved 70's and 80's music, especially the "Piano Men," Billy Joel and Elton John. He enjoyed a good quality sushi roll and loved Gelato. He will be sorely missed.

Born in Anderson, South Carolina, he was the son of Marcus Anthony Wise and Susan Jean Wise. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Kelsey Elizabeth Wise of Piedmont; grandmother, Mary Etta Beckman of Anderson; grandfather, James Louis Wise, III (Linda Anderson) of Bolivia, NC; and step-father, Gene DuBois of Vero Beach, FL.
