Anderson, Sylvester "Andy"Sylvester "Andy" Anderson, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was born on September 26, 1928 to the late Elmer and Esther (Helgerson) Anderson and grew up on the family farm in the Town of Glenmore. Andy attended the Kiley School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he was stationed in Alaska from 1953 to 1956. He was employed by Gauthier and Sons construction for 27 years, a Teamster with Local 75. Andy was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 30 years and he was currently a member of St. John Lutheran church in De Pere. He was also a member of the De Pere Area Men's Club. Andy volunteered for Meals on Wheels, delivering over 2,000 meals. As an avid Packers fan, he was a season ticket holder for many years. He enjoyed fishing at his place on Tomahawk Lake and caught quite a few trophy walleyes.He is survived by his brother in law, Roy Wellner, Special Friend, Doris Diny and numerous nieces and nephews.Preceding Andy in death are his parents, his sisters; Selma (Ruben) Labs, Ethel (Ray) Sawicki, Lois (Elmer) Zeamer, Sylvia Anderson and Mildred Wellner.Family and friends may gather at St. John Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd, De Pere, On Tuesday, March 28 from 3:00pm to 4:15pm. The funeral service for Andy will be held at 4:30pm with Pastor Cindy Warmbier-Meyer officiating. Interment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Glenmore.
