Berkovitz, Sylvester (Pinky)Sylvester (Pinky) Berkovitz, age 71, of Kewaunee died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 27, 1945 in Kewaunee to the late Walter F. and Leona (Zuzanek) Berkovitz.Pinky worked at Kewaunee Fabrications from 1963 until retiring around 2007. Prior to working at Kewaunee Fab he helped commercial fishermen out of the Kewaunee Harbor. He always enjoyed boating, camping and motorcycle riding.Survivors include his three children: Holly Berkovitz, Tonet; Keith Berkovitz, San Carlos, CA; Kevin Berkovitz, Algoma; four grandchildren: Cody, Harley, Zoey, Ashley; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Dennis Berkovitz, Jerry (Bearcat) and Linda Berkovitz, Dale (Hokey) Berkovitz all of Kewaunee; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Karen Barrette, Kewaunee and Janet (Harold) Ebert, Algoma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend: Jeff McCloud. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Kim Berkovitz; two brothers: Walter and Gilbert; two sisters: Sandra and Sharon Berkovitz and a brother-in-law: Paul Barrette.Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee on Sunday, May 7.
