Sylvia A. Bradfield, 74, of Columbia, Mo., passed away at home on Friday, October 28, 2016. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Sylvia was born on January 5, 1942 in Columbia, Mo. the daughter of Leo William and Mary Ann (Faris) Roberts. She was married on July 7, 1963 to Roy T. Bradfield who preceded her in death on July 28, 1995. She worked at the University of Missouri for 27 years. After retirement, she spent her time volunteering for the Missouri State Historical Society, Missouri Honor Flight and Columbia Visitors Center. She was especially passionate for researching genealogy and caring for her two fur babies. Sylvia was very liked by so many people she met through her life and will be missed. Survivors include two sons, Brian Bradfield (Katie) of Fayette, Mo. and Brett Bradfield (Cristy) of Edinburg, Texas; one sister, Nancy Seiler (John) of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Matthew Bradfield, Madalyn Bradfield and Olivia Bradfield, and her father, Leo Roberts of Columbia, Mo. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Roberts. Memorials may be made to the Central Missouri Honor Flight Program, 625 Cherry St, Columbia, MO 65201.
