Nussbaum, Sylvia A. "Sis"Sylvia A. Nussbaum, age 81, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2017, with family by her side. Sylvia was born on July 1, 1936, in Neenah, daughter of the late Harvey and Beulah (Winch) Mikkelsen. She married Donald Nussbaum on September 10, 1955. They had been married for 54 years before he preceded her in death on October 20, 2009. Sylvia was a lifelong Neenah resident. The joy in her life came from spending time with her family and friends. She was a homemaker until all of her kids were in school and then went to work for Kimberly-Clark Corporation where she retired in 1987.Sylvia is survived by her children; Donald V. (Barb) Nussbaum, Neenah; Richard (Emily) Nussbaum, Menasha; Daniel Nussbaum, Appleton; Sheri (Jeff) Kroll, Neenah; former daughter-in-law, Natalie Lear, Kenosha; nine grandchildren; Andrew Nussbaum, Katie (C.J.) Swenson, Adriana (Phil) Paulson, Anthony Nussbaum, Bailey Nussbaum, Alex Nussbaum (girlfriend, Rebecca Grover), Mitchell Nussbaum, Jonathan Kroll and Samuel Kroll; six great-grandchildren; Landen, Alaina, Brady, Brielle, Quinn and Charlie; a sister Mae Maciejewski and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Donald, Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Joseph and her brothers, Hugh and Glen Mikkelsen.Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Pastor Sandra Crase officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.
