T. H. "Sonny" StephensSan AngeloWe are sad to announce the death of our husband, father and grandfather, Sonny Stephens. Sonny had been suffering from heart disease for many years and finally succumbed to it on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in the evening hours.Sonny was born on Aug. 28, 1946 and was 70 years of age. Sonny attended Central High School in San Angelo and graduated there in 1965. He also attended Angelo State University. He married his high school sweetheart, Vicki L. Haines, on Aug. 19, 1967. He attended Cross Road Assembly of God Church with his wife. Sonny so loved the Lord and bringing people to Him.Sonny worked for his family's business, City Concrete, in San Angelo which was founded by his father. He went on to be a concrete contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and later worked for General Dynamics building the F-16 "Fighting Falcon".Years later, Sonny and Vicki moved back to their home in San Angelo and owned the family business, American British Antiques. Sonny was famous for saying "Let me ask you a question.." or "I'll tell you what..." and then we would hear a grand story.He was preceded in death by his father and mother, T.H. "Steve" and Dollie Stephens; his brother, Ervin Dean "Bud" Stephens; and a baby sister, Linda Kay Stephens.Sonny is survived by his wife, Vicki, of nearly 50 year; and three daughters, Kimberly and her husband, Rob Lovelace, Holly Adams, Tami Stephens and future son-in-law Tommy
Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren Tara Adams and Lauren Adams; great grandchildren Dahlia Brazeal-Adams and Layla Wilson-Adams; sisters Doris Glenn and her husband, Jerry and Sue Pryor and husband George; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Donna Haynie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.Viewing is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Cross Road Assembly of God with interment in Lawnhaven immediately thereafter.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Cross Road Assembly of God Church 317 N.
