Taiquan Howard, 28, of Utica, New York, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2022. Taiquan was born on January 07, 1994. Born in New Hartford on January 1, 1994, Taiquan better known as Quannie was the son of Janelle “Nellie” Williams and Charles Howard. He was raised in Utica, NY, and he received his education in Watertown, NY where he excelled in the sports of football and basketball. Taiquan was a lovable, well-mannered young man with an unforgettable smile. Outgoing by nature, he was endeared by many. He was drawn to the elderly whom he loved and to whom he showed respect when he was in their presence. His inner strength and optimistic personality allowed him to overcome adversities in his life. He enjoyed family barbecues and gathering with loved ones. Taiquan is survived by his mother, Janelle “Nellie” Williams; and his father, Charles Howard. He was also blessed with the guidance of Collis Maddox. Also surviving are his brothers, Charles Phillips, Tyrique Howard, Mounir Howard, Dantè Brunson, Aaxavier Howard, Izaiah Howard, Owen Granetille and his sisters Julionna Howard, Michelle Williams, Kiara Howard, Kalisha Howard, and his sister and nephew for whom he had a special love for, Adah Howard. He cherished the memory of his infant brother, Darnell Williams, who passed in 2008. He will remain in the hearts of his maternal grandmother, Theresa Williams of Utica; his aunts, including his maternal aunt, Dena Evans and fiance, Rielik Hammett; his uncles, Robert D. Howard, Rogereale Howard, Willie Smith, Dominick Smith, and Marcus Smith; many great-aunts and great-uncles; several cousins; and a host of special friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Rev. James L. Howard; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Howard. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Taiquan's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Sunday at 4:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Pastor Anthony Murray officiating the ceremony. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
