Tannie DeBlaey, 96, formerly of Oostburg, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Pine Haven Christian Home - Covenant Home in Sheboygan Falls.Tannie was born on June 13, 1920, in Sheboygan, daughter of Martin and Katie (DeBoer) Dekker. She was a 1938 graduate of Sheboygan High School. On July 23, 1943, she married Chester J. DeBlaey in Sheboygan. Chester passed away on July 7, 2009. Tannie was a bookkeeper for DeBlaey Excavating & Trucking for 42 years until her retirement in 1992.Tannie was a member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed golf, and was a member of the Town & Country golf league.Tannie is survived by her three daughters, Phyllis (Marve) Wolterstorff of Elmhurst, IL, Kathleen (Jim) Van Zyl of Highland, IN, and Barb (Reynold) Siebenga of Ancaster, Ontario; her son, Jack (Brenda) DeBlaey of Crystal Lake; 14 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; one sister, Corinne Smies of Oostburg; one brother, Marvin (Ruth) Dekker of Sheboygan; and one sister-in-law, Wilma Dekker of Sheboygan.Tannie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Chester, her sister, Ethel (Norman) Feringa; and her brother, John Dekker.Funeral services to celebrate Tannie's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland.Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.A memorial fund has been established in Tannie's name for Pine Haven Christian Communities.For online condolences and additional information please visit
