Obituary: Tarek Frazier
It is with heavy hearts and a boatload of laughter that we announce the untimely demise of Tarek Frazier, the legend of South Chicago. Born on April 25, 2003, Tarek lived a life that overflowed with humor, mischief, and an undying love for deep-dish pizza.
Tarek will always be remembered for his extraordinary ability to make anyone laugh until tears rolled down their cheeks. Many knew him as the King of Comedy, the maestro of mirth, or simply the funniest person they had ever encountered. His punchlines were as sharp as his fashion sense, and his laughter was as contagious as his smile.
In his teenage years, Tarek managed to successfully convince his school administration to declare April Fool's Day as a national holiday. Nobody forgot that fateful day when the Principal walked into a classroom to announce Tarek as the school's new Head of Pranks. From there, the walls were adorned with whoopee cushions, classrooms renamed to "Giggles Galore," and his fellow students erupted in fits of laughter.
Beyond his comedic expertise, Tarek had a few peculiar hobbies. He would regularly organize jumping jack marathons at the local park to raise awareness about the overlooked art of high-knees. He also had a secret talent for imitating all the birds in the Chicago area—a skill that never failed to turn heads and baffle ornithologists.
Tarek's other passions included a lifelong quest to discover the world's funniest knock-knock joke and introducing rubber chickens into stylish, black-tie events. Many still marvel at the iconic image of Tarek causing mild chaos at the Met Gala, elegantly brandishing a rubber chicken while celebrities doubled over in laughter.
Survived by his laughter-loving family and a grieving community, Tarek Frazier will forever remain the jester who turned even the darkest moments into laughter-filled memories. He may be gone, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him or watching his side-splitting sketches on YouTube.
In lieu of flowers, please send in your favorite jokes or funny anecdotes to keep the spirit of Tarek alive. A celebration of Tarek's uproarious life will be held on October 5, 2023, at South Chicago Park. We kindly ask all attendees to arrive wearing brightly colored attire and to bring their goofiest props.
Farewell, dear Tarek. May you continue your eternal quest for laughter in the grand comedy club in the sky!
