Tawna Van Allen, age 66, of Grapeview, Washington, passed away on February 29, 2024. She was born on August 22, 1957, to her loving parents Galen E. Gray and Charlotte W. Rahl. Tawna was preceded in death by her Father and mother, Her brother Gary Gray, sister Maryam Gray and Nephews Ian Van Gelder and Rick House.
She is survived by her five children: Judi Van Allen, Lynn Van Allen, Galen Van Allen (spouse Kendra), Keysia Lauderdale (spouse Anthony), and Jerika Van Allen, ten grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tawna dedicated her life to helping others as the founder of Tawna’s Foster Home for Dogs. She had a special love for animals and found joy in providing a safe and loving environment for them. Her passion for animals was evident in the way she cared for each and every one of them.
In her free time, Tawna enjoyed gardening, dancing, and singing karaoke. She had a vibrant personality and brought so much joy and laughter to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
On February 29, 2024, Tawna unexpectedly passed away in her home. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all the animals she cared for over the years. Rest in peace, Tawna Van Allen.
A memorial service is being held in Kingston on March 5th at 5pm.
