Teresa Coble Miller Wilmington Teresa Coble Miller, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington on January 28, 2017. "Terri" to her friends and family, was born on April 15, 1957 in Burlington NC, spent much of her adult life in Raleigh NC and most recently, her love of the ocean brought her to Mariner's Wacche in Ocean Isle Beach NC. Above all, Terri was a kind and compassionate woman who kept close all whom she held dear. A devoted mother and an attentive friend, she was greatly loved and was at the heart of her family. Terri is survived by her daughter, Tamara Martin Ormandy of Garner NC and husband, Jacob Ormandy, and two beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Christian. Also surviving are Terri's twin brother Timothy Lee Coble and wife Nancy of Martinsville VA, their children, Ben, Josh, and Leigh Anne, and her brother Patrick Cline Coble of High Point NC. Terri was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marty Joel Miller, her parents Clifton Worth and Louise Wagoner Coble, and her precious son, Christopher Worth Martin. Terri took great pleasure in remodeling her home in Ocean Isle Beach. She enjoyed many luncheons and shopping trips with family and friends, searching for just the right fixtures and furnishings. Terri created a retreat that became a destination for her loved ones, as well as a personal haven where she could envelop herself in her preferred pastimes. Her screened porch became a comfortable hub from which she and her dear friend Tracy Branch would survey the state of the world. A great lover of animals, Terri shared her home with her canine companion, Gabby, as well as Harley the cat, and the three were seldom separated. They all spent afternoons happily piled on the sofa while Terri immersed herself in reading and following her favorite football team, the Carolina Panthers. She had walls of shelves built to hold close her most treasured possessions, including dozens of her handmade baskets. Her weekly meeting with dear friends at the Oak Island basket group was an outing she rarely missed. She took great pride and pleasure in weaving each piece, elevating them from everyday objects to exquisitely crafted works of art. A memorial service will be held at Ocean Isle Beach Chapel located at 4 W Third Street in Ocean Isle Beach at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 4. Officiating will be the Rev. Anthony W. Clemmons, of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Bolivia, NC. After the service, the family will receive friends at a cottage nearby. Condolence to the family at
