Terri Ann Georgesen Obituary

Oct 16, 1949 - Jul 20, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Terri Ann Georgesen, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, in Ames, IA. She was born on October 16, 1949, in Waterloo, IA, to Wayne and Betty Jackson. Terri's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family, and her passion for the great outdoors.

Terri married the love of her life, Randy L. Georgesen, on March 31, 1990. Their marriage was a testament to their deep connection and shared adventures. Together, they made a home in Stratford, IA, in 1994, where they raised their blended family with love and care.

Terri's greatest joy came from her three children: Benjamin (Tamber) Weller, Shawn Georgesen, and stepdaughter Justina (Dan) Georgesen Clayton. She was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her boundless affection and wisdom. Terri's family extended to her four siblings: Kathryn Thorson, Nicholas Jackson, Cynthia (CJ) Jackson, and Patrick (Jayne) Jackson, all of whom she cherished dearly.

Her love of animals was evident throughout her life, both in her personal passions and professional endeavors. Terri dedicated ten years of her life to working as a Vet-Tech at the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine, where she made lasting contributions and formed lifelong friendships. Her commitment to animal care was matched by her enthusiasm for bass fishing, earning her recognition as an award-winning Bass Pro Angler.

Terri's adventurous spirit led her to embrace a love for motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. She and Randy often traveled on their Harley, exploring new places and creating memories that would last a lifetime. She found solace in the tranquility of nature, particularly on beaches where she felt at peace.

Terri was predeceased by her loving parents, Wayne and Betty Jackson. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, both human and animal alike.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, IA, in honor of Terri's compassionate and giving spirit. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the hospice for their extraordinary care and support during Terri's final days.

Terri Ann Georgesen's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and the pursuit of one's passions. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
