Terry Carroll was born on August 8, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to her parents Ivory Acree and Emma Harvey who preceded her in death. Terry was also raised by her stepfather, LeiRoy Carroll. Terry had six siblings: Anginette Carroll, Charlesteen Bird, Tina Carroll, Cleveland Carroll, Bryant Spencer, and the late Roy Lee Carroll.

Terry's passion for helping others led her to work in the Home Health Care industry before retiring in 2023. Terry made a tremendous impact on the lives of the homeless while spending time at Twila Reid Park.

Terry had a big heart, a loving personality, and cared deeply for others. She was very outspoken and outgoing. Terry enjoyed movies, music, dancing, and had a knack for hosting the most entertaining holiday events. She always made sure everyone had a good time. Hermosa Beach was one of Terry’s favorite places to visit in California.

On June 5, 2024, Terry gained her wings and was called home. She leaves to cherish her memory her friend of thirty-seven years Fredrick Meurkson, son Shawn Morgan, daughter Sidney Ervin, and son-in-law Clayton Okoh. Grandchildren: Shanita, Courtney A’Shontee, Nia Morgan, and grand-dog Riley Okoh. Great-grandchildren: Tinsley Know and Brandon Knox Jr.

Terry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace.
