Nov. 1, 1949 - Nov. 11, 2016 Terry Lee Prosser, 67, entered into eternity with his Lord on Veteran's day, Nov. 11. Terry was born on Nov. 1, 1949, in Pendleton, OR, to Wilford "Bud" and Delia Prosser. He was a 1972 graduate of Oregon State University, played the trumpet in the university band, and was a member of ROTC. Terry was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Air Force in 1972. After graduating from Undergraduate Pilot Training in Nov. of 1973, he was assigned to a highly classified special operations unit in Southeast Asia where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism. Terry flew the C-141 and eventually transitioned to the C-5, the nation's largest Air Force aircraft. Terry also served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm from Aug. 1990 to Feb. 1991. After a distinguished military career of twenty years, Terry retired as a Major on March 31, 1992. Terry earned his degree in Computer Science while serving in the Air Force. He worked for Solano County for 21 years, retiring as a Senior Systems Analyst on Aug. 2, 2016. Terry was a member of Rockville Bible Church. He loved the Lord and was faithful to Him until death. He was an avid reader and student of the Bible. Terry was also a student of history, especially military history. He loved all types of music from country, classical, and rock to the hymns of old. He is survived by his wife, Violet Prosser of Vacaville; daughter, Sarah (Gabe) Valdez of Rocklin; daughter, Deborah (Mario) DeRenzi of Vacaville; and son, Jeff Prosser of Vacaville. Terry is also survived by Violet's three sons and daughter-in-law; Frank and Alma Evans of Sydney, Australia; Chris Evans of Vacaville, and Tim Evans of San Diego. Surviving grandchildren are Ashlyn Rowlands, Sophia DeRenzi, Julianna Rowlands, Sadie Rowlands, Dylan Rowlands, Sebastian Evans and Vivian Evans. He is also survived by the mother of his three children, Theresa Harris Prosser, and his mother and father-in-law, Janice and Ken Nicholas. Services will be held at Rockville Bible Church, 720 Link Road, Fairfield, on Monday, Nov. 28, . Viewing is 1 to 3 p.m., with services starting at 3 p.m. Terry will be laid to rest at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, with full military honors.
