Tess HernandezVentura, CATheresa "Tess" Hernandez was called to be with her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2017 in the comfort of her home after a courageous battle with multiple cancers. She was born on May 31, 1937 to Harold and Mae Peterson in Starbuck, Minnesota. She is survived by her brothers David (Ellie), Dan (Carole) and John (Sue). She is preceded by her son's death at birth from her 1st marriage, her mother and father and sister Carole.She married the love of her life, Joe Hernandez in 1972 and he brought 5 children into the marriage, Marie, Michael, Paul (Eveline) Joe (Renee) Mark (Robin-good friend). Tess has 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Tess worked in the HR field of retail, banking and education. She loved to travel with Joe and friends and then by herself. She also loved to read.She volunteered and was very active in her church, Trinity Lutheran. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be given to Trinity's Endowment Fund, Project Understanding or . Tess's life will be celebrated at Trinity Lutheran Church May 20,2017 at 11:00 am.
