Thelma Ann SOWELLS Obituary

May 31, 1954 - Sep 01, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Thelma Sowells, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on May 31, 1954, to Lee Dell Sowells and Doris Faye Miller Sowells.

Thelma leaves behind her two beloved sons, Roderick and Reggie, as well as her two adoring grandchildren. We won't mention their names, because let's be honest, Thelma was the real star of the family!

Thelma attended Franklin D. Roosevelt high school, where she was known for her infectious laughter and love of life. After graduating, she pursued a career as an Environmental service worker, where she brought her unique brand of humor to all of her coworkers.

When she wasn't working, Thelma could be found indulging in her favorite hobbies, which included dancing, shopping, cooking, and dominating everyone in board games. She was truly a force to be reckoned with!

Unfortunately, Thelma's love of board games couldn't protect her from the biggest opponent of all, a stroke, which ultimately led to her untimely passing. Though she may have lost this round, we know that Thelma is now in heaven, dancing and laughing her way through eternity.

Rest in peace, Thelma. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
