Thelma G. Kinner, 92, of Montrose, \ passed away on October 29, 2015 at the Meadow View Senior Living Center in Montrose. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Leon E. Kinner in 2001.She was born on April 27, 1923 in Brooklyn, to the late Nathan J. and Retha C. (Button) Richardson. She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn Ace, Meshoppen, and Marsha Passmore, Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Colleen J. and Gerald Parkhurst, Meshoppen, Jeffrey D. Passmore, Venice, Fla., Branden S. and Gloria Passmore, Venice, Fla., two great grandchildren, Paige R. Parkhurst, Kayla Passmore; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister, June Allen.Thelma was a member of the Methodist Church in Springville, and attended the 1st Universalist Church of Brooklyn. She was a Girl Scout leader and taught "release time" in the Dimock area. She taught Sunday school at the Springville Methodist Church and helped with 4H. She loved children and worked with them most of her life. Thelma loved to sew, do crossword puzzles, enjoyed her music and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with the Rev. Cecily Eisley of the Springville United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Dimock Cemetery, Springville.Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the 1st Universalist Church of Brooklyn, PA; or the Springville United Methodist Church.
