SOMERSWORTH - Theresa A. Daigle, 88, of Somersworth, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. Theresa was born on May 22, 1928, a daughter of Louis and Elise (Renaud) Tanguay. Theresa served the local communities working as a cashier at area stores, the Grand Union, as well as the A & P. Theresa loved her involvement with the Golden Age Senior Citizen group. Theresa is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Elise Tanguay; brothers Lionel, Martin, Roger, Alphonse, Raymond, Leon, and Romeo; and her sisters Louise, Angele, and Yvette. Survivors include Theresa's loving husband of 67 years, Clement J. Daigle; sons, Jerry, and his long-time companion Ana Cook, Daniel, and his wife Mary Pat, Leonard and his wife Amanda; Daughters, Denise Daigle, and Sylvia and her Husband David Sutton; Theresa is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One of Theresa's greatest joys was to spend time with her family; she loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you were to visit her and her husband, more than likely, they would be playing cards or off to bingo at their Maple Suites retirement home, where she was often the winner! Theresa's family would like to thank the staff at Cornerstone Hospice for the compassionate care that was extended to Theresa, making her as comfortable as she could be. SERVICES: A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, N.H. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Martin's Church, 120 Maple St., Somersworth.
