In Loving Memory Of

Theresa Howard-Phillips was born April 12, 1962 to Henry Howard and Virginia Morgan. She married Michael Phillips on September 8, 1986. She was a lifelong member of the Almighty Church where she was anointed the Royal name of Liberty of God.

Theresa attended East Technical High School. She graduated as a honor roll student. She went on to attend Kent State University and graduated with a degree in Science. She later went on to work for Mary Mount Hospital, then eventually to Cleveland Clinic, where she planned to retire.

She was a member of Zion Pentacostal Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed many hobbies, cooking, baking, reading and spending time with her family.

She was called to glory on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

She leaves to cherished memory: Husband (Michael Phillips), Daughter: (Mellissa Phillips), Son: (Michael Phillips Jr.), Grandchildren: (Michael Phillips III) and (Gabriella Phillips), Sisters: (Stacy Howard), (Stephanie Howard-Baker), Brother: (Brian Howard), Nieces: (Paige Phillips), (Mary Ann Phillips), (Tye Howard), (Cielita Howard), Nephews: (Gabriel Phillips), (Louis Howard). Also many more cherished loved ones.

Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away. He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelations 21:4

Poem:

I LEFT FOR A WHILE

I left for a while
but don’t worry, my dear
I left to see wonders from my dreams
and flowers
that are not seen here

I left for a while
but I’ll see you soon
left to see the stars
on the other side
of the silver moon

Left to walk the trails
and sweet, golden meadows
where trees grow tall
and beautiful
yet there are no shadows

I left for a while
but I am really not that far
oh, if you only knew
my blue eyed, sweet daughter
how near you are.

I know that you miss me
but if you only knew
how beautiful it is,
to see you, my love,
from God’s point of view.

Although your work on earth is done,
Your life in heaven has just begun.
Your struggles here were hard and long,
But they're over now; you're finally home.

Life wasn't easy, by choice or fate.
A decision made, sometimes too late.
A fight to the finish, always strong.
Rest easy, Mom, you're finally home.

- Melissa Phillips
