Thomas E. Carey, of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 at the age of 67. Born on March 9, 1957 to Lawrence and Clare Carey, Thomas leaves behind his loving daughter Megan, as well as two cherished grandsons, Jaxon and Lucas. Thomas also leaves behind siblings Frances, William, John, Joseph and Brian; nieces and nephews Maura, Keith, Jill, Kevin, Carissa, Sean, Sarah and Marc. He was predeceased by his brothers Lawrence and James.

Thomas was a proud graduate of Pompton Lakes High School, Class of 1975. He went on to serve in the Navy, where he dedicated his time and efforts to his country.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Thomas had a passion for baseball and was a die-hard Yankees fan. He also enjoyed watching American Idol and never missed an episode. Thomas had a zest for life and brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and loved his family, friends, and where he was from.

While we mourn the loss of Thomas, we also celebrate the incredible life that he lived. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be planned in the future.
