Thomas (Tom) Alan MastickRaleigh, NCThomas (Tom) Alan Mastick was born on June 25, 1956 in Springfield, Illinois. Tom died on November 3, 2016 in Raleigh, North Carolina after a brave fight against cancer. Tom was a very brilliant and industrious man. He graduated with honors from Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, Illinois in 1974. He graduated from Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois with honors Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Franklin Honor Society. Tom had many skills and also worked in biotechnology, computer engineering, tax accounting, and high level sales as General Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. While at Digital he won several awards. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and did justice work in Chile, building furniture for an Aymaran school in the Andes.Tom was a loving husband to Beth Blacher Mastick. Tom was also a wonderful and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife; his mother, Betty Mastick; his brother Ron Mastick and sister Janice Waggoner (Kirk); his children Bryan Mastick (Keelan), Melissa Gould (Pam), Sara Barone, Margaret Mastick, and Harry Robert Mastick; his nieces, Colleen Waggoner and Michelle Mastick; his nephew Erick Mastick (Charlene); his grandchildren Julia Carter, Corey Gould, Kyle Gould, Justin Gould, Coleton Mastick and Devin Mastick.Tom is preceded in death by his beloved father, Ford Mastick.A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 19, 2016 at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church3901 North Star RoadRichardson, Texas 75082972-238-8103
