SIGLERThomas C. Thomas C. Sigler, age 85, of Pemberville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the in Perrysburg. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Rendville, Ohio. He was the son of Chancey and Marie (Dawson) Sigler. On February 23, 1957, he married Rita Hiser in Pemberville. He was a devoted member of First United Presbyterian Church of Pemberville. He served as an elder and trustee for many years and also enjoyed Bible studies and the church dartball team. He enjoyed visits with his family, golfing, traveling and was an avid Buckeye fan. Tom began his own costume jewelry business, Perula Enterprises, in 1964, retiring in 2014. While enlisted in the
United States Navy, he served his country proudly during the
Korean War on the aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain. He was a member of Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183, and in 2014 was privileged to be part of the Honor Flight to Washington, DC. Tom was a graduate of Pemberville High School in 1949. He attended The
Ohio State University and University of Toledo.Tom is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Horvath of Alpharetta, GA, Kelly (Dennis) Noto of Tampa, FL, Anthony Sigler of Irvine, CA, Jonathan (Kathryn) Sigler of Bellevue, WA; grandchildren, Nicholas Horvath, Erin (Taylor) Morgan, Elizabeth Noto, Sarah Noto, Abigail Sigler and Gannon Sigler; great-grandchildren, Olivia Morgan and Paxton Morgan; brother, Jerry (Karen) Sigler of Onsted, MI; brother-in-law, Greg (Kammy) Hiser of Lincoln, NE and sister-in-law, Florence (Jim) Willard of Hilton Head Island, SC. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church of Pemberville, 106 Perry Street, Pemberville, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Miller. Interment will be in Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville. A bereavement luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
