Thomas Doyle AndersonGold Beach, ORThomas "Tom" Doyle Anderson, 55, passed away on May 16, 2017, from natural causes in Gold Beach, Oregon. Tom was born on February 22, 1962 in Sierra Vista, Arizona to Raleigh and Margaret Anderson, the fourth of six children.? In 1965, his family moved to Stuttgart, Germany and shortly afterwards transferred to Heidelberg, Germany. In 1970, they moved back to the United States and resided in Killen, Texas for two years and then moved to Thousand Oaks, California. On July 22, 1989, Tom married Molly McFarland in Thousand Oaks. In 2002 the couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona with their 2 young sons, Warren and Wyatt. Tom was finishing up a 300,000 sq. ft. industrial building in Oxnard for Waterway Plastics but needed to get construction going on a 500,000 sq. ft. industrial building for Ford Co. in Phoenix. Tom efficiently managed these two full-time jobs as project manager and an interstate commute for over a year. In 2012, Tom, Molly and the boys moved to Gold Beach, Oregon to care for Tom's sick mother ("Aunt Margaret"). Although Tom enjoyed a successful career in construction, he dedicated the last five years in Gold Beach to taking care of his mother Margaret and also as a stay-at-home father to his two sons.To nearly everyone who knew Tom he was a "best friend". Tom encouraged us all to see the good and focus on the positive. More simply, Tom encouraged us to do our best, smile and be happy, despite the tribulations of life.Tom rarely met a person he did not like or who did not like him. Tom always had a twinkle in his eye, a smile at the ready and he was always willing and prepared to help anyone who asked for, or needed help. Tom had a warmth in his heart that radiated out to us all. Tom loved people and made the world a better place. He was a loving and generous?person. Tom is absolutely loved and adored by those who were lucky enough to know him.In Gold Beach Tom enjoyed the outdoors. He loved the pristine natural surroundings of Gold Beach and he frequently shared pictures and videos of the picturesque environment. Tom went on daily outings - hikes in the woods, walks on the beach, fishing on the river, boating on the Rogue or simply driving to a scenic spot to view the majesty of nature. Tom enjoyed travel and spending time with his family and friends. He traveled to many destinations, including Maui (his favorite), Cozumel, and all over the country with Molly, their boys and often with other family and friends. Tom frequently visited Phoenix and Thousand Oaks just to stay in touch with family and friends there.Tom is survived by his wife Molly, two sons, Warren (17) and Wyatt (14), two dogs, Wilson and Gus, sister Janet Jubas and her husband Marvin Jubas (Santa Monica, California), brothers Paul Anderson and his wife, Cathy (Lubbock, Texas), Wayne Anderson (Thousand Oaks, California), David Anderson (Phoenix, Arizona), and Robert Anderson (Thousand Oaks, California).
