They have 12 grandchildren, all of whom have attended or are currently attending Northern. Both their children and grandchildren have been actively involved in Northern's athletics and activities. Poppy had been a loyal fan for almost all of Northern's athletic programs and activities. When there's been a Northern event, you can bet that he was in the stands cheering for Northern! Poppy was also Northern Varsity Football's videographer from 1982 until 2009, attending both home and away games for 27 years, rarely missing a game with Nancy at his side. Poppy's dedication to Northern went well beyond athletics as he served a four-year term on Northern 's School Board. Poppy has always been proud of the Northern York County School District.
