Thomas "Poochy" E O'Neal, 83, of Deer Park, Texas, passed peacefully, on April 19, 2023.

Born on November 18, 1939 in South Houston to Starly Parker O'Neal Sr and Ruth Celestine O'Neal. Thomas attended Deer Park High School where he played track and football and at age 17 met the love of his life, Bobbie Sue Norman. They married September 18, 1959, settling in Deer Park to raise their 3 children.

Thomas retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 plus years of loyal service. In retirement he enjoy traveling with his family, camping, fishing, and stretching his carpentry muscles; building 2 homes during his lifetime. Thomas was an avid football fan you could find cheering on his Houston Texans from his recliner every game.

Thomas is preceded in death by his bride, Bobbie Sue, as well as his parents Starly Sr and Ruth O'neal. Left to celebrate his memory are his brother, Starly "Penny" O' Neal Jr and wife, Daisy, son Perry O'Neal, daughters Mary Celestine Anderson and husband Paul, and Marla Sue Hobbs and husband Johnny, as well as his grandchildren, Kaylee, Chad, Cody, Cale, Megan, Danielle, Rachel, Gavin, and Kaitlin. He was blessed with 11 great grandchildren as well.

The O'Neal family invites you to join them on September 18, 2023 to celebrate his life at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Tx 77023 with reception to follow at Thomas' favorite restaurant, Monument Inn.
