Thomas HolleyDes MoinesThomas Brent Holley, 66, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, after a very short, but courageous battle with cancer.Thomas was born on October 4, 1950 to Winston G. and Mary B. (Pinnick) Holley in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Dowling High School. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS PERRY DD-814 during the Vietnam conflict. After completing his military service he worked for many years in the auto/home glass industry and for the U.S. Postal Service.Thomas is survived by his son Ronald Holley (Ronald's mother Amanda Holley), his sisters Christina Holley, Patricia (Jim) Trotter, Roberta Vantrees, Barbara (Tom Harders) Weston and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.There will be no funeral service per Thomas' wishes. Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
