Langlois, Thomas "Tom" J.Thomas "Tom" J. Langlois, age 73 of Sheboygan passed away August 2, 2017 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. Tom was born on April 4, 1944 in Sheboygan to the late Eben and Ruth (
Smith) Langlois of Sheboygan.Tom attended St. Peter Claver for grade school. He graduated St. Lawrence Seminary in 1963. From 1966-1970 Tom served in the
United States Navy and received a National Defense Service Medal. He worked for Armour Leather and later worked for the Kohler Company for 31 years, retiring in 2003.On November 5, 1988 Tom married Ruth Hohensee and resided in Sheboygan where they had two children, Grant and Nicole.In retirement he took pride in being " Mr. Mom". He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Tom led Cub Scout Troop 3822 and assisted Boy Scout Troop 822 for several years, he also volunteered at Longfellow Elementary School where both of his children attended school. He will be remembered for spreading Christmas cheer as Santa Claus across the community. Tom is survived by his loving wife Ruth; two children, Grant (Mo) Langlois of Seattle, Nicole (Cameron Fuller) Langlois of Madison. His brother, Gerald (Barbara) Langlois of Sheboygan, Four sisters in law; Diann (David) Horness, Donna(Ricky) Bauer, Sarah (Robert) Mileski and Nancy (Ray) Kultgen. His mother in law, Edith Voland. And many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Eben and Ruth Langlois, a nephew, Scott Langlois and his first wife Vicky (Herman) Langlois.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 7, 2017 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Avenue, Sheboygan. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. The Olson Funeral Home Cremation Service has been entrusted with Tom's arrangements.The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation and Compassus Hospice and all of their neighbors and friends for their loving care and support.
