Thomas M. SmithHOPEWELL: Thomas M. Smith, 78, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence.He was born on October 16, 1934, in Hopewell, Ohio, a son of the late Arthur and Eva Grace Mills Smith. He was a graduate of Hopewell High School Class of 1952. He retired as a transportation supervisor for American Electric Power. He was a member of Mount Sterling United Methodist Church, Jackson Lodge #85 F&AM where he was Past Master in 1976, Brownsville Order of Eastern Star #486 where he was Past Patron, the Monday and Wednesday Golf Leagues at Crystal Springs. He enjoyed camping.Surviving are his wife, Beverly Flood Smith of the home; two sons, Timothy (Rochelle) Smith of Hopewell and Terry (Kim) Smith of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Alicia) Anker, Dustin (Cristy) Smith, and Darci (Josh) Dusenbery; four great grandchildren, Dalton Anker, Caleb Scott, Grant Smith, and Maci Dusenbery; two brothers, Jerry (Audrey) Smith of Zanesville and Rick (Connie) Smith of Columbus; extended family and lifelong friends.Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE where Jackson Lodge #85 will hold Masonic Services at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Norris officiating.
