Thomas Nathan ArnoldLAFAYETTE - An 11:00 AM Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Thomas Nathan Arnold, Age 81, who died on Friday, April 14, 2017 at his residence.Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services. Karen Broussard, Soloist, will perform, "Amazing Grace", "Isaiah 49", "Here I Am Lord" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic".A native of Lafayette, LA, born on December 2, 1935 and graduated from Cathedral Carmel School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1955 for 4 years and while stationed in California, he met Frances Tayes and they married. After his time in the service ended, he worked for the Louisiana State Police, Lafayette City Police, Frank's Casing Crew and retired as a Security Guard. He loved his life, enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him especially his long time friend, Carroll Conques.Survivors include two daughters, Donna Beth Pedeaux and her husband, Kenneth, Angela Arnold Breaux and her husband, CJ; four sons, Nathan "Chip" Arnold and his wife, Paula, Michael Arnold and his wife, Keleen, Carl Arnold and his wife, Christine and Mack Arnold and his wife, Liz.He preceded in death by his wife, Frances Angela Arnold; his parents, Thoma Arnold and Sophie Cormier DeBlanc and one sister, Artie Frances Guidry.Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Joseph Hospice."Nathan" has donated his body to science at LSU and upon return of his ashes he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Greenlawn Gardens in Carencro.The Arnold Family will receive family and friends on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary prayed by Brady LeBlanc at 6:00 PM.View the obituary and guestbook online at
