BURLINGTON - Thomas P. 'Tom' Corrigan, 79, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Mount Carmel Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington. He was born on January 22, 1932, in Glencoe, Ill., to the late Edward and Lucille Corrigan. Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed overseas in Europe doing reconnaissance photography. Tom was employed for many years as a Journeyman Industrial Electrician at Goodyear and then American Motors in Kenosha, where he was also the Maintenance Shift Supervisor for one of the buildings. In later years, he was an Einstellar at In-Sink-Erator in Racine in charge of maintenance of robotic lines. Tom was a previous member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at Love Incorporated. He enjoyed fishing, especially his trip to Canada with his son, and raising German Shepherd dogs. Survivors include his wife, LouAnn Corrigan; brother, Lloyd (Eileen) Corrigan; sister, Margie Amore; children, Tom Corrigan II, Nancy Pelek, Linda Koenen-Willan, and Julie Vehrs; 10 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Krause and Mary Vesguard; and brother- in-law, Terry Amore. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Corners Cemetery.
