ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Thomas P. Lazzara "T-J" was born on March 11, 1955 in Chicago to Peter and Charlene (nee Quill) Lazzara. He died peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Arlington Heights. Tom owned and operated T-J's Seal Kare, Inc. in Arlington Heights for 30 years. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4483 in Arlington Heights. Tom loved woodworking, volunteering with Cub Scout Pack 130 and Boy Scout Troop 32, NASCAR, and was known for his "Legendary" Holiday Displays. He loved to command the room's attention "to tell a story or two", but most of all his grandchildren were the "Light" of his life. Thomas is survived by his spouse of 40 years, Linda (nee Suzzi); children, Amanda (Eric) Kopp, Angela (Jay) Doherty and Nicholas Lazzara; grandchildren, Anthony Kopp, Elliot Kopp, Mackenzie Kopp, Cole Doherty and Connor Doherty; parents, Peter and Charlene Lazzara; brother, John (Barbara) Lazzara; brother-in-law, Thomas Murray; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Murray. Visitation Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 8:45 am, Friday, December 9, 2016 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
