Thomas UllmannThomas Frederick Ullmann, 69, of Windsor passed away on February 11, 2017 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. Tom was born on October 5, 1947 in Longmont to Fred and Norma (Pfaltzgraff) Ullmann. He grew up on the family farm south of Johnstown and remained in Colorado throughout his life. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1965 he earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from CU in 1969. He married Barbara Croissant on August 1, 1971 in Loveland and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. During his early career he worked for several engineering firms located throughout Northern Colorado. In 1985 he started his own consulting engineering firm, TEC, with two partners where he remained until retirement. Throughout his career he worked diligently to provide clean drinking water for many residents of Northern Colorado.Tom's greatest joy was spending time with his family whether on family vacations, enjoying the outdoors, or attending his children's and grandchildren's activities. Tom spent his non-working hours pursuing a variety of hobbies including fishing, camping, reading, gardening, and skiing. Tom is survived by his wife Barbara; three sons Jason (Jessica) Ullmann of Montrose, Craig (Shannon) Ullmann of Hotchkiss, and Ryan Ullmann of Des Moines; 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Brendan, Kyle, Anja, and Whittier; his brother Ted (Judy) Ullmann of Windsor; and his stepmother Edith Ullmann of Johnstown. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.Funeral services will be held at the Johnstown United Methodist Church at 10:30 AM February 20th. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 PM February 19th at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Johnstown United Methodist Church in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
