WILLIAMSBURG - Timothy A. Haynes "Byrd", a native of Williamsburg, transitioned from this earthly place to lay in the arms of our Lord, on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Byrd was born on April 14, 1992, to Tamala Haynes Battle and Timothy Mason. Timothy spent his early childhood playing football for The Hornets. He attended and graduated from Jamestown High School. Tim was currently employed at Greystone. Tim loved to cook, dance, sing, rap and make you laugh. He was a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan. He loved and adored his family more than anything in the world. Timothy had a smile that would warm your heart and relieve your troubles. Timothy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Percy Mason, Sr. and Helen Mason. Timothy leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Omari Alan; his parents, Tamala Battle (Arndray) and Timothy Mason; his brother, Arndray Battle, Jr.; three sisters, Tiffany Mason, Whitney Mason, and Andrea Battle; his nephew, Zion Battle; his grandparents, Warfield and Diane Whitfield; four aunts, Annette Mason, Pamala Haynes, Lenora Sheppard, Wanda Whitehead; five uncles, William Coleman (Carolyn), Percy Mason, Jr., Harold Mason, Wilbert Haynes, Warfield "TJ" Whitehead, Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memories three special cousins, whom he held close to his heart, Tameka Dandridge (sister), Deno Rich, Sr. (brother) and Mary Compton (aunt); two devoted friends, Rodney Swanson and Mike Mitchell and a close friend, Britian Brown. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Monday, December 5, 2016, in New Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Robert A, Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Timothy may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday (tonight), in the funeral home.
