Timothy "Tim" L. GlassZANESVILLE: Timothy "Tim" L. Glass, 60 of Zanesville died at 4:37am Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus following a brief illness.He was born on February 2, 1953 in Zanesville, OH the son of Richard C. and Betty J. Sams Glass.Tim attended Sonora United Methodist Church, was an Army Airborne Ranger with the 82nd Airborne Division, and was a 1971 graduate of John Glenn High School and Mid-East Ohio Vocational School. He received a degree in Oil & Gas Engineering Technology from MATC and started his career in the oil & gas business having owned and operated Bar-G Oil & Gas, DBG & Associates, Inc. and Enviro Excavation Inc. He was a family oriented Father and Husband who loved deep sea fishing and the ocean, travel, sports, and enjoyed a good cigar. He was a philanthropist who volunteered as a
firefighter, an EMT and devoted much of his free time to helping the community. Tim was a member of the Cambridge Eagles, Buckeye Lake AMVETS , Zanesville Moose and a social member of the Knights of Columbus Council 505. In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his wife Beth A. Fusner Glass whom he married May, 24, 1986; four children Allison (Lance) Blagg, Christina Glass, T. Wesley Glass and Wyatt Glass; three grandchildren Juniper Glass-Klaiber, Jackson Blagg and Ginger Blagg; a brother Kim A. (Beth A.) Glass; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Chad Glass; numerous friends, including special friends David and Sheila Danison and family, David and Tonia Porter, Mark and Angie McDermott and family, and David and Nancy Elliott. He was preceded in death, in addition to his father, by a brother Jim Glass.Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8pm on Tuesday, December 03, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, December 04, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Norris officiating. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at the St. Paul Cemetery , Sonora, Oh.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bar-G Oil & Gas Scholarship Fund at Muskingum County Community Foundation.
