Timothy Mincey, 44, of Brooklyn, New York was born on September 15, 1978 at St. Vincent Hospital in NY, NY to Jessica Mincey and Redell Jr Spinks. He grew up in Beford Stuyvesant Bk,Ny. He attended the New York City public school system were he acquired his GED. Tim was a man of many hats. He was a former construction worker and security guard before he suffered his first stroke that would change his life. In his younger years Tim enjoyed playing football, swimming , handball, and playing chess. On Monday August 14,2023 Timothy took his final rest due to a fatal heart attack.
Timothy was blessed with a large and loving family. He enjoyed being with friends and spending time with his family. If you was his close friend you knew him as “Tim dog, Son Son(Alicia)”. Everyone who knew him knew he was a ladies man. In his recent years Tim enjoyed going on cruises with his family and taking his nephews Darius,Deshon,& Dominick to the park almost everyday. He also enjoyed eating and watching movies on his phone.
Tim was proceeded in death by his grandmother’s Nettie Ann Mincey & Novella Spinks, grandfather Redell Spinks Sr, Dad Mark Harris, sister Tanya Akiens, brother Charlie Roberts, Cousin Robert Minter and Uncle Rufus Buddybo GuytonTim is survived by his mother Jessica Mincey (Albert Ford), his biological father Redell Jr Spinks (Clareta Spkins), four kids Jessica Frazier, Elijah Mincey, Jordin-angel Browning, Derrick Mobley, two sister Hazel Harris of Va , Jackie Robinson of Ny, six brothers Nicholas Harris, Jaquan Harris, Redell Spinks ||| of Md, Johnathan Spinks of Md, Tyrone Roberts of Ny, Mark Harris of Va. Tim is also survived by three aunts Dorothy Minter , Hope Grant, Leona Ferguson, one uncle Earl Seabrooks, two sister in-laws Anna Morgan-Harris, Ahjah Spinks and a host of nieces, nephews,and cousins.
Timothy was a great person who was taken from all of us way too soon. Though he is gone in the flesh his spirit will remain here on earth. He left his mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be truly missed.
