RACINE - Tina M. Hoerres, age 54, passed away after a courageous six year battle with cancer on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was born on August 15, 1961 in Oconto Falls to Francis and the late Janette (Thompson) Hoerres. Tina graduated from Williams Horlick High School in 1962. She later went on to Gateway Technical College to earn her degree as a medical transcriptionist. She most recently was employed as a medical transcriptionist at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center in Racine. Together Tina and her daughter Courtney always enjoyed finding hidden treasures at rummage sales, estate sales and craft shows. In recent years Tina expressed her own craftiness in taking old rustic windows and painting each window pane. As much as Tina loved to find old and unique pieces her fondest memories where those spent with her family. She always remembered the trips to her brother’s cabin in Silver Cliff and boating on the lake. Whenever Tina met anyone she always made them smile and she was a genuinely happy person regardless of what she was going through. She is survived by her loving partner of thirty years, Wayne Brown; her father, Francis Hoerres; her daughter, Courtney Brown; her five siblings, Tim (Marsha) Hoerres, Dallas (Julie) Hoerres, Tammie Hoerres, David (Tina) Hoerres and Daniel Hoerres; her two nieces, Kristina and Tiffany and her three nephews, Matthew, Derek and Adam. Tina is further survived by many more relatives and dear friends. The funeral service for Tina will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at WICHMANN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home starting at 10:00 am until the time of the service at noon.
