Tom L. ReeseBartlett, TNTom L. Reese, 87, of Bartlett, TN passed away on June 9, 2017 in Memphis, TN. He was born on April 13, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. Tom graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in Des Moines, Iowa in 1948 and then served in the Air Force. Tom went on to work for Firestone for over 30 years and then as a consultant for Lou Perry and Associates for 25 years. Tom and his beloved wife Rita enjoyed traveling to the Pacific Northwest, an area they explored together many times. Tom was also an avid fisherman and particularly cherished the time he spent on the lakes in Canada. Every week, Tom looked forward to his long-standing coffee meeting with friends. In the eyes of his friends and family, Tom could fix anything and enjoyed tinkering with different projects even into his later years. Tom is survived by Rita M. Reese (McMurray), his wife of 66 years, his brother Rhys Reese (Barbara), his four sons, Jeffrey Reese (Kathy), Greg Reese, Mark Reese (Jackie), and Todd Reese (Lauren), five of his grandchildren, Aaron Reese (Christina), Brittney Perry (Jeremy), Dustin Reese, Sarah Collins (Ian), and Katie Reese, as well as many special nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Griff Reese (Katie) and grandson Zachary Reese.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN. There will be a visitation to greet the family at the church at 10:00 AM.In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to , Memphis TN.
