Col. Tommie Walker, Sr., 82Col. Tommie L. Walker, Sr., 82, of Henderson, AR passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Mountain Home, AR. Col. Walker was born on July 13, 1935 in Cumi, AR to John E. and Mabel Wells Walker. He was a veteran of the U. S.
Army and an auctioneer for fifty-one years. He was of the Baptist faith.Col. Walker is survived by his wife Karen Ramsey Walker of Henderson; his mother-in-law, June Ramsey; two sons, Tom Walker, Jr. of Henderson and Tim Walker of Mountain Home; one daughter Tammy Barnes (Nevin) of Henderson; one step-son, Shannon Swink of Anniston, AL; nine grandchildren, Tom Walker III, Justin Walker, Brian Walker, Natalie Blann, Sadie Walker, Chase Walker, Brandi Walker, Brandon Barnes and Brooke Barnes; nine great grandchildren, Landon Walker, Lillie Walker, Ella Walker, Kayla Walker, Allie Walker, Eli Walker, Mason Walker, Ashton Walker and Emma Cheek; three brothers, Calvin Walker (Marie), J.A. Walker (Debbie) and Donnie Walker (Sharon); four sisters, Tressie Clark, Louise Suddeth (Buzz), Bonita Montgomery and Nadine Moore (Jim); one sister-in-law, Janice Reed and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Walker; his parents, John E. and Mabel Walker; one sister, Evelyn Hawkins; one brother, Joe Walker; two nephews, Ricky Walker and Steve Montgomery and one great nephew, Derek Walker.Arrangements are by Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Mountain Home. Funeral services will be at First Assembly of God on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Micah Wells officiating.
