Resided in Norco, Louisiana, passed on June 25, 2023. Tongia was born on November 18, 1957. Tongia dedicated her life to Christ at Mount Harmon Baptist Church. She served on the usher board and loved serving her community. She was well loved and liked by many. She was also compassionate and had a beautiful smile and enjoy spending time with family. She was educated at Destrehan High School . Tongia meant her high school sweetheart, the late Carl Edward Anderson Sr. They married in the seventies and had several children. Tongia loved her family and being around them. She worked at Introlox and for a law firm where she utilized her expertise.

Tongia was proceded in death by her parents Bishop Mable Pack Barconey and Nathaniel Hines. Her eldest son Carl Edward Anderson Jr., Siblings Melba Smith, Illinois Barconey, Oliver "Ali" Barconey Jr., Gaynel Marie Barconey Johnson,and Detta Lynn Ladd. They reunited in heaven.

Tongia leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children James Anderson, Brandon Anderson Sr.(Siobhan Dawson Anderson),Chrysanthemum Anderson, Jason Anderson, Chrystal Anderson, Casey Anderson, Antoine Anderson, Marco Carnell (Tomeka) 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, two brothers Lawrence (Pamula) Perry and Warren Obleton and Aunt Mamie Terry. A host of nieces and nephews family and friends.
