Tony B. Ulibarri, 61, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 at Alta Vista Regional Hospital.He was born on June 13, 1953 in El Pino Ranch to Elouterio Ulibarri and Antonia Montoya Ulibarri.A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, God-father, nephew and friend. He was a heavy equipment operator, a cement finisher, and he worked at The United World College during the renovation of the college. He was formerly employed with Sierra Transit and enjoyed working at the ranch with his horses and chopping wood. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.He was preceded in death by his parents, Elauterio and Antonia Ulibarri; mother-in-law, Balbina Maldonado; father-in-law, Manuel Maldonado and brother-in-law, Pierre Gonzales.He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Geneve A. Ulibarri and daughter, Darlene Ulibarri, both of the family home; future son-in-law, Lorenzo Encinias of Las Vegas; sisters and brother, Joann Ulibarri of Albuquerque, Lorraine Racicot and husband, Tim, of Ribera, Roger Ulibarri, Theresa Garcia and husband, Leroy, all of Las Vegas; family pet, Valentina; God-children, John Allemand and wife, Joann, of Los Montoyas, James Tapia and wife, Pauline, of Romeroville, Merayla Racicot of Pecos, Christopher James Ortega of Pojoaque, and Jeremy Montoya of Las Vegas; aunts, Annie Montoya and husband, Joe, of Los Montoyas, and Tina Ulibarri of Las Vegas; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Cecilia Romo and husband, Dan, of Denver, Grace Gonzales of Las Vegas, Miguel Lovato and wife, Rose, of Denver, Benito Gonzales and wife, Vivian, of San Juan, Diane Maldonado of Las Vegas, Joseph Maldonado and wife, Theresa, of Las Vegas, David Maldonado and wife, Yvette, of Las Vegas, Rosie Maldonado (David) of Serafina; special cousin, Antonio Lovato and wife, Theresa, of Denver; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Leroy Garcia, Tim Racicot, David Maldonado, Joseph Maldonado, Ray Trujillo and Michael Lovato.
