My grandpa has always loved telling the story of when I was little & talking to him, & I thought he wasn't listening, so I bumped him on top of the head with a pencil & said "pay attention & know what you're doing!" He is always friendly with every stranger he meets, & always calls them by their name if he sees them wearing a name badge. Or he'd fart in a store aisle & always follow up with "was that you?" or "excuse you!" Always a jokester. When I was real little, he scared me so bad on purpose in a dark kitchen, that I screamed & cried & was so mad at him. You have no idea how much I'd love to go back to that memory just to hear him laugh. He kept our sourdough toast warm for breakfast by neatly wrapping it up in a paper towel, & make cream of wheat with the lumps in it because he knew it was my favorite. He was so good at shaping the bushes at the house into animals, & I loved helping with yard work when I visited during the summers; it's why I always think of him & my grandma whenever I smell fresh cut grass. He took me out in his truck to teach me how to drive a stick, even though I got frustrated & burned the crap out of his clutch. These ads memories I will never forget. I love you, Tata!
