RedSprings, NC — Tonya Campbell, a long-time resident of the Greensboro area, died Sunday the 20th of March at Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Born in 1950 in Lumberton NC, Tonya received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 1971. She continued her education at Robeson County Community College, from which she received her M.Ed. in Nursing in 1983. She then moved to Greensboro, NC where she continued her life as a loving mother and grandmother.
Tonya loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her daughter, Sataria Campbell and two grandchildren Cayden and Kivanna of whom live in North Carolina, and brought great joy to her later years.
