Celebrating The Life Of

Travis T. Thorne Sr. was an extraordinary father, son, brother, grandfather, grandson, nephew, and friend who left this world far too early on November 5, 2024. Born on March 27, 1983, in Lake Charles, LA, to Lucretia Thorne and Ernest Bellard, Travis shined brightly, bringing joy and warmth to those around him. He had a unique ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger. Always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear, he consistently checked in on loved ones and friends, often lightening the mood with awell-timed joke. Travis had a remarkable talent for turning every negative situation into a positive one, spreading his uplifting spirit to everyone. At the time of his passing, Travis was employed as a truck driver at JB Trucking. In his leisure moments, he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and grandmother whom he affectionately called “Mama”. Travis leaves behind a lasting legacy, mourned by his three sons: Thorne, Travis Thorne Jr., and Major Thorne of Crowley, LA. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Lucretia Thorne of Crowley, LA, and father, Ernest Bellard of Crowley, LA; two brothers, Jamarcus Thorne of Houston, TX, and Rakeem Thorne Sr. of Crowley, LA; and one sister, Martika Thorne of Baton Rouge, LA. His loving grandmother, Dianna Thorne of Crowley, LA, as well as two grandchildren, Tyrese and Ja’layiah Thorne of Crowley, LA, will miss him dearly, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished aunts. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, A’layziah Thorne, and his grandfather, Donald M. Thorne.
