Tuan Ngo, aged 23, of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, passed away at Holmes Regional Hospital, after choosing to end his journey on this earth by consuming a lethal combination of medicine. Born on January 9th, 1997, Tuan enlisted in the Army at 17 before attending college to pursue a Bachelors degree. He is survived by a single daughter. Tuan was extremely private about his personal life, confiding in almost no one about his personal affairs.
Tuan was always seen smiling and laughing, and rarely complained about personal issues or problems. We can't imagine what he was going through, or what led him to taking his own life. We pray that he has found peace from his demons and that he is finally at rest. Tuan had sought help previously in the form of counseling, as well as adhering to a strict schedule requiring daily medicine. Tuan suffered from manic depression, psychosis, and PTSD, but we thought he had begun recovering after years of treatment. Tuan had stopped taking his medicine March, 2020, after informing friends and family that he felt he was able to cope with his experiences.
Suicide is a complicated experience to go through, especially as a parent, child, or friend. We did not see the signs that may have prevented our loss, and as joyful as Tuan was never thought to ask. Tuan will be missed, and his memories cherished. He left us far too young.
Suicide is a pandemic plaguing our world. If you see someone suffering or in pain, please say something. If you see someone hurt, please comfort them.
Life is one of the most precious things in this world.
Funeral arrangements have not been made at this time, but family and close friends may contact Tuans cousin Minh Nguyen for details when they are scheduled.
