Tuffy (Loyd) Wayne Sutton 75 passed away Oct. 4, 2008 at his home in the beautiful Manastash Canyon where he loved and wanted to be with his family and friends. Tuffy was born on Sept. 8 1933, the oldest of three children of Ralph and Elsie Sutton in a small farm house on the Spokane Indian Reservation in Miles, WA. As a young Native American boy at home being raised to ride, rope, drive horses, even rope and ride a few neighbors cows, brought him to a life long joy of riding, working, and raising horses. He spent years as a pick-up man for many of the Rodeo Contractor's in the Northwest along with competing in the rodeos himself as a contestant. Tuffy was a rancher, also working for many ranchers, branding and working cattle. He also enjoyed being and working in the woods, where he worked as a timber faller, skidder and cat operator, he drove logging trucks as well as operated a sawmill. Tuffy leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Ginger and youngest son Anthony. Tuffy's (Leona) oldest daughter Diane (Doe) Mellon and son Darrel Sutton of Keller, WA Tuffy's (Dixie) Son Gary (Robbi) Sutton of Jourdanton, Texas, daughters Sheryl and Janice Sutton of Ellensburg. Grandchildren, Tricia, Mercee, Daicia, Leona, Angela, Caleb, Lauren, Crystal and Justin, along with great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Tuffy will be laid to rest at a private gathering at the High Valley Cemetery in Ellensburg. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday afternoon Oct. 12th. at 1:00, at Quality Inn (Great Northern Room) 1700 Canyon Rd. Ellensburg. Please come and join us.
