Tyla LawFebruary 18, 1940 - April 27, 2013POCATELLO - Tyla Ann Law, 73, of Pocatello, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013.She was born on February 18, 1940, in Rigby, ID, to George and Odessa Hayes. She was raised in Rigby until the age of 4 when the family moved to a farm in Monteview. Tyla attended grade school in Roberts, then the family moved to Idaho Falls where she attended and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. After graduation she worked as a car hop for A & W, and then as a waitress until 1973. She then started working with honey bees until 1989. She then worked as a laundress at laundry shops until she retired in 2009.Tyla married Neal Kay Lindholm in 1958. They later divorced. She married Owen H. Law in 1973. He passed away in 1985 and she remained single though her remaining years.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was also a member of the Moose Lodge for many years.In her younger years she enjoyed hunting, fishing, worked on the farm, and was devoted collecting honey. She was an avid bowler for many years, and also had a wonderful green thumb for plants and flowers. Tyla also had a collection of jewelry which she always wore. She was an outgoing person to family and friends. She was a giving person to all around her.She is survived by her sister Georgia (Herb) Shurtliff of Idaho Falls, ID; son Mark (Melina) Lindholm of Pocatello; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Tyla is preceded in death by her parents George and Odess Hayes; brother Terry Hays; husband Neal Lindholm; husband Owen Law; and nephews Bruce and Don Hayes.Funeral services for Tyla will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the funeral service.
