Tyler Jackson Moore, 79, passed away peacefully on Oct 17, 2016. Tyler was born on Aug 16, 1937 in Gadsden Alabama to Lee Merrill & Pearl Pauline Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Merrill and Pearl Pauline (Jackson) Moore; a grandson, Joshua Tyler Polk; 2 brothers, Robyn Moore and David Allen Moore; a sister, Julia Ann Goldfoot. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Jean Moore, daughter and son in law, Lee Ann and Carl Polk of Jacksonville; son and daughter in law, Jeffrey Tyler and Terri H. Moore of Atlanta, daughter and son in law, Karen Jean and Patrick Green of Dacula; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Michael Polk, Katie Elizabeth Polk, Mariel Alexandra Moore, Morgan Kaitlyn Walker, Chance Jagger Moore, Michael Patrick Green and Tyler Jeffrey Green; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.Tyler grew up in Gadsden, Al. He graduated as President of his class and a member of the National Honor Society from Emma Sansom in Gadsden, AL in 1955. Tyler was awarded a scholarship in Paper & Pulp technology at the University of Alabama where he received a degree in Paper & Pulp. Tyler worked in the Paper & Pulp Industry in sales & sales management for 39 years retiring from Honeywell in 1998. Tyler married Norma Jean Wiggins Sept 1, 1956. They were happily married for 60 years and raised 3 children. He was a passionate & compassionate man who was devoted to his family, friends & church. He was a Christian first & foremost; served as a deacon over many years in multiple church's and was a founding member of Dublin Baptist Church, Dublin Ohio. He taught Sunday school and attended Bible Study Fellowship. Tyler was also an excellent athlete and avid sportsman where he channeled much of his competitive energy's. He played tennis, basketball, football and, had a lifelong love for the game of golf. He was a golf marshal at nearby Summit Chase Country Club. Roll Tide...A Memorial service to CELEBRATE his life will be held at: 2:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2016 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Snellville Historical Cemetery.
